He was preceded in death by: paternal and ma[1]ternal grandparents; two uncles, Ricky and Johnny Ballard; one great-great-uncle, R.C. Smith.
James was a loving, enduring and caring husband, son, father and friend. He was one of the kindest souls anyone has ever known. He would help any and everyone he came in contact with.
James worked at Marble Life Flooring company for 15 years. He was an exemplary employee; he was a true leader on his job. His boss knew he could count on James managing a project, getting it completed by its deadline and being done with perfection. He was truly a reliable, dependable and dedicated employee. He took great pride in the final product of his work and his goal was always to make sure the client was happy and satisfied.
James also had a great passion for fixing up new and old cars. His all time love was restoring old camaros to their great natural beauty.
James also had many loyal customers whose cars he took good care of. Most of his clients were older women, who he treated like family. He would hate to hear of woman being taken advantage of when it came to getting their cars repaired. His clients including his mother-in-law knew he was an honest, trustworthy man of great integrity. We will surely miss that great smile.
