Jeffrey Scott Posey

Jeffrey Scott Posey was born on July 27, 1967, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to his loving parents, Rovena Dunn and James Posey Jr. Jeff attended Forest Park High School and graduated in 1985. Shortly after graduation, Jeff enlisted in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, he worked as a Combat Signaler and enjoyed his time while stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army, Jeff worked for over 20 years at AT&T as a Customer Service Specialist. He was last employed at Jockamo’s in Indianapolis, IN. He had a strong work ethic and was loved by both employees and employers.

Jeff loved staying active. Growing up in the “F” section of Forest Park, he was always outside with his friends and siblings, playing wiffle ball, football, soccer, basketball, climbing trees, riding bikes, and participating in any other sport he could. Jeff was a well-rounded person from an early age. He was always seeking to improve himself physically, mentally, and spiritually. He was baptized in 2010. Jeff had a humble soul and always displayed genuine kindness to everyone. He was well-loved by all and left a lasting impression on anyone who crossed his path. Jeff had a contagious smile that matched his positive outlook on life.

Jeff met Missy in 1989 while attending Wright State University in Dayton, OH. They were married for 13 years and had three children: Alexa, Justus, and Trey. He passed down his love of sports to his kids and found joy in attending their numerous sporting events over the years. Jeff also loved spending time with his three adorable grandchildren: Elizah, Leo, and Amelia. Family was always important to Jeff, whether it was during holidays, birthdays, graduations, sporting events, or performances. He always made it a point to support those he loved.

Jeff is preceded in death by his son, Justus Posey; grandparents, Francener & Gus Sanders and Esther & James Posey Sr.; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Alexa Johnson (Percy) and Trey Posey (Carson Gibson-Lockwood); grandchildren, Elizah Posey, Leo Johnson, and Amelia Johnson; parents, Rovena Dunn (Larry Geralds) and James Posey Jr. (Joan); sister, Tina Walker (Marcus); brother, Michael Posey Sr. (Latosha); step-sisters, Juanita Taylor, Terrigela Mosley, and Shawnna Johnson; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers.
