Jessie Harmon Sr., son of the late Godfrey Harmon and Cora Feagin-Harmon, was born July 14th, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was the fifth of six children.
Jessie Sr. moved to Cincinnati at a young age. Beulah Bates raised Jessie Sr. as her son, along with his other siblings.
When Jessie moved here from Alabama, he attended St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Woodward High School in 1975. Jessie Sr. later graduated from the City of Cincinnati Hazmat Program in 2011.
Employment wise, he worked for General Tools as an inspector for five years. Then he was hired by General Electric in 1985. He worked here for seven years and then converted back to the job at General Tools. He worked here until he became ill in 1992. Afterwards, he moved to Georgia to work with his son, Demarco Sr. After a year, he came back to Cincinnati to work at EMRI.
Jessie enjoyed things such as fishing, barbequing, sporting events, and playing card games and checkers. He mostly enjoyed these activities when he was around his close friends and relatives as he was surely a family man. He was always present at his children's baseball and cheerleading games and supported his wife in attending the Marriage Ministry at Inspiration Baptist Church.
Jessie was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Feagin and Larry Harmon. Jessie leaves to cherish his wife of 36 years on May 5th, 1984, Sheri D. Tudor, and in this union, they had three children, Demarco, Jessie Jr. and Sherica. His sister, Evelyn Shaw (Robert Roden), and his brothers, James Dunn and Randy Harmon, seven grandchildren, Christina, Jeremiah, Demarco Jr., Dejaunda, Jamarius, De’Niyah, and Niyala, sister-in-laws Donna and Tina, brother-in-law, Fred, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
