John E. McCree, Sr. Obituary
John Ellis McCree, Sr. was born on June 18, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Samuel and Hattie Mae McCree.
John grew up in the West End and attended Bloom Junior High School. He went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He was a machinist at GTC for many years.
John loved his family! Family was his life! Although he had four children of his own, he was a father to many. He was very kind and such a pleasure to be around! There was no limit to what he would do for his family. One thing for sure, he was always there to be supportive in every way. He was such a “Great Inspiration” who touched the lives of many people. He will truly be missed!
John was preceded in death by his parents, his only brother, Samuel McCree Jr., his son, John Ellis McCree Jr., close nephews, Johnny and Kennedy Rogers and close niece, Belinda Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two precious daughters, Evangelist Nicole Givens and Anna Foxx (Kenneth); one son, Cinque Reed Sr.; two sisters, Eula Mae Rogers and Geraldine McCree; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; close nieces, Doris, Tracy, Kelly and Shay; close nephews, Antonio, James, Mark, Rodney and Sam Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
