Joshua Al-Lateef, Jr.

JOSHUA AL-LATEEF, JR. left this world far too soon on November 21, 2024, at the tender age of 6. Joshua was a radiant soul who brought joy, laughter and light to all who knew him.

Joshua had a boundless love for the simple things of life. Dairy Queen trips were always a highlight, especially when ice cream was involved. Chicken tenders was a favorite meal, savored with a smile that could brighten any room. Joshua found magic in the ordinary, whether it was exploring parks on long walks or finding the perfect stick to carry and play with along the way.

A natural performer, Joshua adored singing. His voice, pure and full of life, was a constant reminder of his infectious enthusiasm and love of life. Joshua sang with abandon, filling hearts with happiness and making every moment feel special.

Though his time was too short, Joshua taught us to cherish the little things and find joy in every day. Joshua was preceded in death by Great-Grandparents, Floyd and Ressie Mae Bradford, Robert and Bessie Edmerson, Columbus Cook and Gertrude Whiteside; and Grandparents, Joel Sadler, Sr. and Denise Cook.

Joshua is survived by: Parents, Joshua Al-Lateef, Sr. and Jonisa Cook; Great-Grandmother, Ella Cook; Grandparents, Floyd and Sharon Al-Lateef, Sr.; Siblings, Kamaiya Rose, Tylen Johnson and Jokirah Kendrick; Aunts and Uncles, Abdullah Al-Lateef (Georgia), Shukir Al-Lateef, Najawa Mulholland (Craig), Demetrius Al-Lateef (Tiffany), Ryu Al-Lateef (Bo), Floyd Al-Lateef, Jr. (Tiffany), Robert Bradford (Amber), Darrius Al-Lateef, Ebony Al-Lateef, Michael Al-Lateef, Destiny Al-Lateef, Kareem Al-Lateef, Maryam Akins (Montez), Khaliq Al-Lateef, Jamal Al-Lateef, Abdur-Rahman Al-Lateef (Desiree), Jacqueline Bush (Arnold), Joel Sadler Jr. and Shannon Triggs; and a host of Great Aunts, Great Uncles and cousins who will forever hold his memory close.
