Josie Mae Samuel (nee Dangerfield) affectionately known as Aunt Red, was born on April 28,1942 to Sophie Dangerfield and Henry Whitt.
She was raised in Uniontown, Alabama.
Josie was one of six siblings: Robert Dangerfield, Sr., James Dangerfield, Sr., Will Dangerfield, Sr., Teachie Dangerfield and Isaiah Dangerfield.
She graduated from Perry County Training School in 1958. Soon after graduation, she migrated north to join her siblings in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was employed by DuBois Chemical in the downtown office in Cincinnati, Ohio, until her retirement.
She will be fondly remembered for her fashionable outfits, love for walking, and care for her family, especially her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sophie Dangerfield and Henry Whitt: as well as her siblings, Robert Dangerfield, Sr., James Dangerfield, Sr., (Mary), Will Dangerfield, Sr. (Grace), Teachie Dangerfield and Isaiah Dangerfield.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a host of nieces, and nephews, cousins, and close friends.
