Julia Mae Bell

OBITUARY

Julie Mae Jones Bell was born September 5, 1939 to the late Robert and Mary Jones in Millington, Tennessee. She attended Harold High School and shortly after high school she married Charles Bell Sr. and the family relocated in 1963 to Cincinnati, Ohio. From that union they were blessed with four children.

She accepted Christ at the age of 12 years old under the pastorage of Rev. I.S. Robinson at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Millington, Tn. Julia later joined New Mission Baptist Church under Rev. George Q. Brown in Cincinnati Ohio. She was a faithful member for over fifty years. During those years she was an active and devoted member of the Nurses Guild.

Julia’s love of people, especially children, extended into over forty-five years of child care. In addition to Private-Duty nursing. She had an unmatched talent in the kitchen and her home was filled with the aromas of loving prepared meals and the sound of children’s laughter.

She is survived by her daughter; Marilyn Ndiaye, son; Clarence (Jackie) Bell. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren; Kianna, Lucious, Donte, Keisha, Clarence Jr., Justin, Aleah Bell, Alfred (Michelle) Brown each of whom she adored along with her sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Otellia Moss; and a host of relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, late husband, and her two beloved children that she carried tenderly in her heart; daughter, Faye Brown; son, Charles Jr. Bell.
