Julia Mae Stewart

Julia Mae Stewart, lovingly known to be the greatest Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother, unstoppable. Julia Mae was born on November 16, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jessie and Theodore Coleman, the second born of six siblings: the late Theodore Coleman, Lola Thomas, Jean Lee, Rose Harrison and Jerry Coleman.

Julia’s education was at Stowe School and Southwest Community College where she received a certificate. She worked at various places in Cincinnati, such as Good Samaritan Hospital, Christ Hospital and Kenner Toys.

She was married to Reginald Stewart (deceased) and was a housewife. Mother Stewart was blessed with 10 children: Regina, Julius (deceased), Carol, Pauline, Reginald, Jeanette, Lisa (twin Thressa Rene deceased), Angela and Eric.

Julia started her dedication and devotion to Jesus after being baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost at Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church on 12th and Elm in 1960, under the late Bishop Elzie W. Young. She worked in the church doing missionary work, sang in the choir, was assistant secretary of Mid-Week Service, an Ordained Mother and offered her service wherever she could, until God called her home. She loved spreading the Gospel of Christ by knocking on doors to witness.

Mother Julia Stewart loved her family. She is survived by: her beloved daughters, Regina, Carol, Pauline (Fred), Jeanette and Angela (Maurice); sons, Reginald (Louise) and Eric; brother, Jerry Coleman; 29 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her son, Julius Stewart; daughter, Lisa Lewis; and siblings, Rose Harrison, Jean Lee and Theodore Coleman.

Julia was a servant of God and her relentless passion for serving others will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.

Mother loved to go shopping and devoted her life to raising children, eating her sweets, making everybody laugh and lived holy.
