Karen Denise Boggs Obituary

Karen Denise Boggs was born on May 15, 1958, in Middletown, Ohio,  to Otis and Georgia Mae Curtis.  She departed this life to be with the Lord on May 28, 2026.

Karen was educated in the Middletown City School District.  As a high school student, she majored in Cosmetology and is a member of the Middletown High School graduating class of 1977.  Following high school, Karen was employed at several Nursing Homes with Otterbein Nursing Home in Lebanon, Ohio, being her last employment  where she later retired as a caregiver after 27 years of faithful service.

A proud mother of 4, Karen was known in her home and community as a care giver, nurturer, and provider.  Karen loved flowers and was an avid gardener who took pride in growing beautiful flowers in her yard every year.  An big fan of R and B and Gospel music, Karen a huge fan of the singer ‘Kem’.  Most of all though, Karen’s largest personal pleasures were her “Stories”.  She watched The Young and The Restless, As the World Turns, The Bold and The Beautiful, and the Guiding Light with dedication daily-even taping episodes to be sure there were never missed.  Those that knew her well would also include the Lifetime Channel and the Hallmark Network as her favorite choices of entertainment.

Karen accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior at a young age and was a dedicated member of Solid Rock Church in Middletown, Ohio.  Even as her health waned, Karen remained a prayerful and faithful member of Solid Rock Church where she tithed without interruption throughout her adult life, and even up until her passing. 

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Georgia Mae Curtis, her Sister, Pamela Washington, and her Grandson,  Micah Bender.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 46 years, Joseph W. Boggs, Sr., of Middletown, Ohio; Siblings, Blanche Washington and Joanne Kinley, both of Middletown, Ohio;  Children, Angelina (Richard) Marshall, Tanesha Washington, LaTrenna Moorman, and Joseph W. Boggs, Jr, all of Middletown, Ohio; 13 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren (there were all her precious pride and joy and she loved them dearly) ; Devoted and dedicated friends, Sandy Harper and Vanessa Robinson; A host of Special Siblings, Nieces, Nephews, Extended Family Members and Friends.

KAREN IS GREATLY LOVED AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!
