Karla Clark Wilson

Karla Denise Clark was born to Ruth Adonis and John Samuel Clark in Middletown, Ohio, on April 11, 1962, and attended Middletown Public Schools. Karla was a part of the track team, and in her spare time, she enjoyed roller skating and bike riding with her sisters.

Karla had a creative side, which she expressed as a manicurist. She loved designing nails—especially her own—and they were always fabulous! She also enjoyed sewing (making clothes), quilting, and crocheting. Karla sang, mimicking her mother, and played the piano.

Karla loved to love, giving her all unconditionally to so many. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love leave a lasting impression on all. She was a devoted, caring, and loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, godmother, niece, cousin, and a true and loyal friend, along with being the best dog mom to her support companion, Maximillian “Max-Maxie.” Her soft, kind, quiet spirit was felt by everyone she encountered.

She left her hometown in 1999 for Maryland to be with her son. In 2001, she put on the hat of “Ganny,” a proud grandmother. Although she became a grandmother at a young age, she fit that role very well. A few years later, in 2004, her second granddaughter arrived, adding to her endless love. In 2016, she welcomed a daughter-in-law, another granddaughter, and a furry companion into her growing circle of love.

Family meant everything to Karla, and she found joy in the simple moments—holiday gatherings, crafting nails while sharing laughter, and cheering on her granddaughters in all their accomplishments. Her kindness, warm smile, and giving spirit touched everyone she met, leaving a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
