Katherine Norman, known to friends as “Kat” was born Monday, June 15, 1925 to Ora Rucker and Bessie Mae Rucker of Elberton, Georgia.
Katherine was preceded in death by: seven siblings; her husband, Phillip Norman, Sr.; and her two children, Shirley Mae Norman and Phillip Norman, Jr.
Katherine devoted herself to her family and her faith in the Lord above. She spoke bluntly and with humor. Even at 101 years old, she was full of energy. She kept every-one laughing, with her stories and jokes. She greeted life with a wink and a grin.
She leaves behind: her youngest son, Jerry Norman (Florida), along with a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Katherine’s deep love for the Lord was the foundation of her long, beautiful life.
