Kelly Ann Strayhorn was born on March 17, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Jacqueline and Fletcher Strayhorn. She resided in Lincoln Heights for most of her life.
At an early age, she was baptized at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
Kelly was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She played the motherly roll for so many people, rather it was a friend or family member. She was a warrior, not only for herself, but for others as well. She fought several battles and overcame many obstacles throughout her lifetime. A beautiful soul with a bright spirit who loved her some Betty Boop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Leslie (Strayhorn) Robinson and Geneva Strayhorn; brother, Raymond Stevens; and niece, Genesia Strayhorn.
Kelly leaves to cherish her memories: her children’s father,James Hamilton,Jr.; two daughters,Jamie Hamilton and Janai Hamilton; a son, James Hamilton III; two grandchildren, Aniyah and Adarian Hamilton; one sister, Dulce Blackmon; a brother, Robert Grove; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
