KENNETH JONES was born on September 10, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio to William Henry Jones and Helen Mildred Guerrant. He peacefully entered the presence of the Lord Jesus on June 14, 2026.
Kenneth graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1973 and played varsity football. He went on to become a machinist and then a tool and die maker. He earned his Associate degree and then his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Ken worked for 42 years at G.E.
Kenneth married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Jones (nee Moore) on November 22, 1980. They were married for 45 years, but “he was my boyfriend for 53 years.” They have two children, Kenneth B. (Robyn) Jones and Sarah J. Jones and three grandchildren, Kenneth B. Jones III, Nasir K. Jones and Symone Green, plus two grand-pups, Marteeny Pearl and Dionne Falkor.
In recent years, Kenneth enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to the gun range, swimming laps at the fitness center, and rooting for his favorite football and basketball teams. Kenneth was an excellent cook and grill master. His specialty was monkey bread (our version) and smoked deboned chicken stuffed with rice and vegetables.
Kenneth was a man with a big and loving heart. He was always willing to help everyone. He was an engineer by training and gifting. He was a reliable man with a wealth of knowledge that he used to solve problems. He grew up at Allen Temple where he was trained in the way he should go. He had an encounter with the Living Savior, Jesus Christ that radically changed his life. He dedicated himself to being active and faithful in his church community, Imago Dei Christian Fellowship of West Chester, with Joyce.
Kenneth was the youngest of six children: Monnie (Allen) Stokes, Harriette Stroud, Linda Hicks, Doris Jones, William Al-Uqdah and Eugene Hicks. He leaves cherished family: Allen (Diane) Stokes, Shelly (Marcus) Clark, Montika Bush, Minisha Hicks, William Al-Uqdah, Shareefah (Guy) Riddick and Nadirah Al-Uqdah, Joanna McCleary, Leah Lattimore, Stacey Spalding, Arthur Moore IV, Yelana Moore, Dana (Kevin) Taylor, Miyka Taylor, Kaelyn Taylor, Asia Taylor and Kaleb Taylor. He also leaves a host of relatives, as well as good and faithful friends.
Ken ran his race and finished his course on this earth. He joins his parents and other loved ones that have gone before him. His legacy will live on and the memories will be cherished forever.
