Kevin Lenay Carnes was born at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 22, 1960 to Elbert Jr and Gladys Carnes. He was the last child born at 108 Huntington Place. Kevin lived his childhood life in Mt. Auburn where he attended William Howard Taft Elementary, Abigail Cutter Junior High and Hughes High School. In 1978, Kevin was employed by Cincinnati Bell/AT&T as a long distance operatory. He was one of the first male to be employed in this position. When AT&T separated from Cincinnati Bell, Kevin moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he was promoted to a Computer Repair Technician where he retired. Kevin then moved back to Cincinnati to assist his parents. Kevin studied Computer Science at Mercer University and Graphic Arts at the Al Gable Art School.
Kevin’s hobbies included building computers from the ground up and being a jazz enthusiast.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Gladys, and his sister Constance.
Kevin is survived by two sisters and five brothers: Emily, Norman and wife Kym, Jesse and wife Nicky, Fredrick and wife Frances, Philip Sr. and wife Virginia, Elbert III, Tammy and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will greatly be missed.
