Lee Curd Obituary

Leander William Curd aka Mr. Lee - A beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, bonus father passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of seventy-five. His gentle spirit, quite strength and useful spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Lee was a man of steady character and quite humility. He rarely complained no matter what the circumstances and always chose to see the good in people and in life. Whether time was tough or easy he had a calm and thoughtful mannerism to make others feel at ease.

"His wisdom made a great impact" is more than a simple reflection; it's a testament to a life lived with purpose, insight, and generosity. As a mentor, he did not merely share knowledge -he shared perspective. His guidance was rooted in experience, tempered by humility, and delivered with compassion. He had a way of seeing potential in others long before they saw it in themselves, and through words, he sparked transformation.

His wisdom was not loud, but it was lasting. It shaped decisions, built character, and inspired courage. Those fortunate enough to be under his mentorship carry forward his lessons-not just as memories, but as guiding principles in their own lives. His influence continues to echo into the successes of others, in the value they uphold, and in the lives they now touch. Even in his absences, the clarity of his insight remains-like a light that continues to shine, showing the way forward.

His impeccable listening skills were part of his quite brilliance. He listened not just with his ears, but with his full attention, with empathy, patience, and respect. He made you feel as though your voice mattered, your thoughts were valued, and your struggles were not too small to be noticed.

When things were tough, he'd smile and say, "Keep the faith" When something surprised or impressed him, you'd hear the familiar "My, My, My" -part observation, part gentle laughter. He'd close reflections or triumph with a humble "All Praises" -Always redirecting the glory away from himself. Then there was that familiar call from his porch directed with love and a little authority toward the neighborhood kids and passersby "Slow down" It wasn't just about traffic -it was about life. Take your time. Don't rush what matters. This was the classic" One ... Two & Three" If he was in the house or on the porch easing himself up from chair, you'd smile hearing him count.

In addition, he was Vice-President/Interim President of Win Med Board of Directors for almost 40 years.  His life was well-lived, a quite hero in every way. He walked this world with grace, leaving it better than he found it. We will carry his memory forward, with love and deep gratitude.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents: Andrew Ill and Nellie Belt Gay Curd, Hensel and Catherine Curd and Hattie Williams. He is preceded in death by his brothers Donald Williams, Larry Curd, Andrew Curd IV, and George Wilson.

He is survived after his children, Lemarques Hon (mother - Blanche Headen) and Teia Lanise Curd (mother - Margaret Haley), both of Cincinnati, Ohio; his aunt, Marietta Williams; his siblings, Olivia Clay, Carol Williams, Celeste Curd, Hal Williams, Roderick Curd Sr., and Tay C.
