Leroy Hamilton

Leroy Hamilton, was born on December 4, 1939 to the late Ervin and Beanna Eatman in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  He was the second eldest of nine children.  He departed this life on January 11, 2019 at Christ Hospital.

Leroy was educated in the Green County School System and retired from the Saw Brook Steel Company.

He accepted Christ and was an active member at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Glendale, Ohio) as an usher and member of the Male Chorus until his health started to fail.  He was also an avid Mason member.  Leroy was a devoted father, brother and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ervin Jr. and Donald Eatman.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memories:  two daughters, Deliika Blackwell and Rachel Dyson; brothers, Homer (Nevada) of Chicago, Illinois, Melvin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Preston (Harolyn) of Bessemer, Alabama, Joe (Flora) of East Point, Georgia and Ressie Morrow of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sister, Belinda Tunstall (Clarence) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A precious one from us is gone,

A voice we loved is still.

A place is vacant in our home,

Which never can be filled.
