Leslie K. Jones

Leslie Keith Jones was born on November 4, 1968 to the union of Jaqueline Jones and Willard Blanchard.  Leslie was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2019. 

“Les” as he was affectionately called was a graduate of Withrow High School.  He worked in the restaurant business and loved to cook for his family.  Leslie was a cool, laid back person who loved life and loved to laugh.  His favorite dishes to cook were meatloaf, pinto beans, fried chicken, liver and rice, while listening to Tupac.  Leslie took pride in helping raise his two nephews:  De’Raphael and Damen, and his great niece JaNiyah.  Even when he was in pain he always had a smile on his face. 

Leslie is preceded in death by his Mother, Jaqueline Williams, Father, Willard Blanchard and Grandfather, Elwood Jones Sr. and daughter Charlotte (Cookie) Jones. 

He leaves to forever cherished and only child Marcus Lucus and his four grand-daughters.  Grandmother, Edna Jones, brother, Julius Jones (Robbie), his sister Lashanda Greggs (Nate).  A very special sister/cousin, Angelique Moore.  His Great Uncle Vernon Burns.  Aunts and Uncles; Gwendolyn Smith, Elwood Jones Jr., E. Elaine Jones, Vernon Jones Sr., Kimberly Carnes (Norman), Kenneth Smith, Maurine McCowan, Alice Fields, Marguerite Brown, and Alicia fields.  His best friend Steve Daniels, Steve Evans and special friend Tiffany Albright.  And a host of cousins and friends.
