He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Peri Gillis, and a brother, Wayne Gillis.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving life partner Sammie Ramsey, his children: Anthony, Kyle, Daniel, Hadassah, Genesis, Hezekiah, Leviticus; his grandchildren Liam, Hunter, and Lillian McKinney; his daughter-in-love Christina McKinney, dear bonus parents Darryl and Patsy Bolden, his siblings Jimmy Gillis, Gary Gillis, Donald Gillis, Anna Pugh, Christopher Miller, Christina Miller, and bonus sisters Danya, Kimmy, and Savannah Bolden along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
