Magdaline Beatrice Berry (nee Williams) was born to the union of the late Paul and Roxie Williams. She departed this life peace-fully surrounded by family on August 5, 2020.
Magdaline professed her faith in Christ at the age of 11 and sang in the choir at Second Baptist Church, under the Pastor Wallace Peoples.
She graduated from Sycamore High School in 1963, attended Campbell Business School and worked at Arlens Department Store until her marriage to Rodford Berry on December 31, 1966. To this union, she was blessed with two daughters.
During this time, Magdaline (Baby Sis) volunteered at her daughter’s school. Her participation included: Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, PTA member and worked in the library.
Magdaline entered the workforce after her daughters were grown. With her bright spirit and bubbly personality, she was always highly revered at work. So much so, her voice was used to train receptionists.
Everyone enjoyed her cooking, especially her apple pies. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sister, Rose Jackson; daughters, Paula and Lisa; her grandsons, Brandon and Marcus; her beloved great-grandchildren, Braylee, Brandon Jr. and Brylon and their big sister, Camerah; and a host of other relatives and friends.
