Mrs. Marcelina Cornwall age 84 was born in Chiriqui, Panama on January 31, 1940 to Alvin True and Dorcas Mitchell True. She was educated in their local school system. Marcelina held numerous sales positions in Panama and graduated from Perfilio Melendez Cosmetology Institute. Marcelina married Samuel Cornwall and to this union six children were born, Yolanda (Raphael) Mayweather, Samuel Jr. (Tyeste), Mireya, Leonardo (Carla), Julian (Tiffany), and Gilberto (Girlany).
The Cornwall family moved from Panama to New York where she attended Wilfred Academy Cosmetology School. While in New York, they attended the Church of God in Far Rockaway, New York. The family later relocated to Middletown, Ohio to attend the Church of God congregation in Lebanon, Ohio.
Mrs. Cornwall was co-founder of Natural Beauty Products Inc. and she was the creator of the Decca Plus Satin Hair Care product line. She served as President of the company for several years where she and her family worked tirelessly to promote the products. Mrs. Cornwall was honored by the Ohio Association of Beauticians as an "Unsung Hero" for her contributions to the field of Cosmetology. She was also honored by the Alpha Cosmetologists of Brooklyn, New York for her commitment. After retiring from Natural Beauty Products, Mrs. Cornwall operated Marce's Sabor Restaurant in Middletown featuring authentic Jamaican/Panamanian cuisine to the delight of her customers.
Mrs. Cornwall was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Norma, Linda, Isolene and Argerette, a niece Cecelia, and a granddaughter Raquel Mayweather.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 65 years, Samuel, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, congregation members, and cherished friends.
Mrs. Cornwall will always be remembered for her love of the gospel.
