Margaret Brown was born in Gastonburg, Alabama on October 10, 1927, to the late Mozell and Rachel Brown. Margaret was the second oldest daughter of 10 children. She relocated from Alabama to Cincinnati with her family. Margaret met Benjamin Boner (“Dutchie”), they married, and from this union they had three beautiful daughters.
Margaret retired from Nutone after 34 years of service. Margaret loved her job and some of the people she worked with. She was quiet, had a sense of humor, loved to laugh, but also believed in no-nonsense.
Margaret was known by several nicknames which included, “Mom, Mommy, Rabbit and Rabbie”. She was always particular of the way she was dressed and looked no matter where she was going. Margaret Loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church. Once Covid-19 came, she started to watch her church service on television. When she would watch her service, she would always say, that dude know he can preach (Rev. Ventus). Margaret also loved her cowboy movies and Perry Mason. When she wasn’t enjoying her television, she was enjoying the visitors that would come and see her, especially her sisters (Ethel and Betty) on Fridays.
God had a plan for Margaret, for he allowed her to see some of her relatives on Christmas Eve for the last time. She always talked about the goodness of the Lord.
Margaret leaves to celebrate her memory: two daughters, Ora Lee Mason (Luther) and Inez Brock; six grandchildren, Derek (Christine), Tonia (Edd), Nissa (Andre), Ben (Adrienne), Dwayne (Lucille), Jerome (Odella) and Andre; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethellet Carter and Betty Love; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The following loved ones have preceded her in death: Benjamin Boner, Jacqueline Boner (daughter), Burell (great-grandchild) and siblings, Lee Dale (Bruh) Brown, Mose (Snoot) Brown, Rev. George Q. Brown, Dave (Rooster) Brown, Joe (Sonny) Brown, Willie (Shug) Brown, Inez (Tut) Pearson and Gertrude (Putt) Pearson.
