Mary Elizabeth Fuller Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Fuller, beloved daughter of Abell, Sr. and Era Fuller, was born in Middletown, OH, on March 4, 1953.  She peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at West Chester Hospital.  She was convalescing at Chesterwood Nursing Care.

Mary received Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and attended New Era Baptist Church for most of her life.  Mary was also affectionately known to family and friends as Mae,   Mae  Mae or nurse Mary because she always had a remedy for whatever ailed you.  She graduated from Middletown High School and Miami University of Middletown with an Associates Degree.  With the exception of briefly living in Columbus, OH, she made her home in Middletown.  Mary worked at ODOT, US Postal Service, in financial services and later as a home health aide.   Mary managed Brownie’s Café, owned by her brother.

Mary’s TV viewing was mainly limited to Christian networks.  She had a very nurturing spirit.  Mary provided loving care for those in need as a professional caregiver and for family and friends.  She faithfully took care of her father and mother as they experienced health issues.   Mary dressed her mom and got her ready for church when she was no longer able to get ready on her own.  They might arrive late, but they attended church together.   Family joked that Mary was often late to events, but there was one thing for sure she was always dependable and there for you.  If Mary said she was going to do something, she did it.  Mary allowed other family members to have peace of mind knowing that she was going to come through.

The family lightheartedly teased Mary back in the day about taking pictures because she loved to take  pictures, but she rarely seemed to get around to having them developed.  Mary enjoyed vacationing and travelled extensively.  She loved her family.  Without fail, she made sure all family members received Christmas gifts and birthday cards.  She served on family reunion committees ensuring  everyone had a joyful time.    When out of town siblings were coming in town, she would get everything ready for “company” and made sure they were comfortable.  Mary especially loved the elderly, little ones and animals.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Abell Fuller, Sr., mother, Era Fuller, brothers:  Frederick Fuller and Abell Fuller, Jr. and grandson, Keshawn Fuller.

Mary will be sorely missed by those she leaves behind.  She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her devoted son who was with his mom every step of the way, Shareef Fuller,  sisters:  Juanita (Dwight) Perrin of Plano, TX, Doris (George) McNeal of Middletown, OH and Linda (Demetrius) McElveen of Laurel, MD; three brothers, Arlen Stacy (Janet) Fuller of Fairfield Township, OH, Kim Fuller of Virginia Beach, VA and Nathaniel Fuller of Dayton, OH, sister-in-law, Cassaundra Fuller of Liberty Township, OH, great grandchildren:  Braxton and Kamille Fuller and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
