Mattie Warren Green was born to the late Deacon David and Beatrice Warren on November 11, 1934, in Uniontown, Alabama. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Saint Mary Primitive Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age.
After graduation from Robert C. Hatch High School, she relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed a long career of service to others in both the public and private sectors prior to retiring from Pauline Warfield Lewis Center.
She joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cincinnati and later Southern Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member for many years. She was united with Ernest T. Green in holy matrimony on April 24, 1964. To this union four devoted children were born.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children (Sheryl D. Mason of Cincinnati, Ernest D. Green of Marietta, GA, Michael V. Green (Paula) of Anderson Township, OH, and Patricia Y. DuBose (Francwau) of Columbus, OH); six grandchildren (Orion, Malachi, Kiara, Sara, Nia, Esmiana); four siblings (Beulah Jean Warren of Chattanooga, TN, Jency Warren of Uniontown, AL, Bertha Lee (Curtis) of Goose Creek, SC, and Daisy Madison of Chattanooga, TN), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is welcomed home by her parents and siblings (Jessie Everson, David Warren, Jr., Arlie Warren, Mary Williams, Ned Warren, Isabella Harper, and Carl Warren).
