Maurice Norman passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025 in Cincinnati, OH. Born to Lillian and Grady Norman, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
During his life, Maurice faithfully served his country in the Army Reserve for 12 years. After his service, he worked with great dedication as Head Cook at Scottie’s Italian Restaurant, where his gift in the kitchen touched many lives. Known for his kindness and devotion, Maurice’s greatest joy was his family, with whom he shared count-less memories of love and laughter.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Grady Norman; his sisters, Grace Norman and Janice Norman; and his stepson, Darren McElroy II, who lovingly welcomed him in to eternal rest at the gates of heaven.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: devoted wife of 34 years, Ella Norman; four children, Nicole Bell, Krystal Pankey (Anthony), Christopher Bell and Trishawanda Manor (Maurice); five brothers, Larry Davis, Julius Davis, Artist Norman (Viola), Craig Norman and Zachary Norman; his sister, Gwendolyn Evans (Tyrone); grandchildren, Damonte Bell, JaVonte Bell, Anyla Bell, Giovanni Bell, Jacob Bell, Tyrone Ward III, Sierra Ward, Aaliyah Manor, Maurice Manor and Chea’O Bell; two aunts, Susie Kate Whitehead and Doris Taylor; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will dearly miss him.
