Maurice D. Kirby

Maurice Douglas Kirby was born March 20, 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mary Carter and Preston Trimm.

A precious life came to a close on September 12, 2025 at Christ Hospital.

Maurice graduated from Cincinnati Public Schools at Aiken High School in 1987.

Maurice joined Greater Fellowship Baptist Church at a young age, under the leadership of the late Pastor H.M. Smith. Maurice worked at different jobs, including maintenance, labor jobs and car detailing. He later met Kerry Stevenson and has a son, Kailas Kirby. Maurice enjoyed dancing, watching football and movies, and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Preston Trimm, Jr. and one child, Maurice Kirby, Jr.

Maurice leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Mary Carter; father, Preston Trimm; grand-mother, Lillian Kirby; one son, Kailas Kirby; three sisters, Helena Carter, Nachel Behanon and Adrian Falls (Dennis); one brother, Derrick Carter (Courtney); and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
