Michael Edward Daniels Obituary

Michael Edward Daniels, affectionately known as “Big Mike”, was born on November 17, 1963 to his beloved mother, LaVerne Daniels in Hamilton, Ohio.

He graduated from Purcell Marion High School in 1982. He later became a bus driver at Metro where he spent 16 years. He loved what he did, and the only thing that would make him miss work was if he felt unwell.

Michael met his wife, Dorrine and they spent everyday together. He nicknamed her “Dee” and now everybody calls her that. It was through their union that he got his daughter, Kassandra whom everybody refers to as “The Baby”. Michael and Kassandra shared a lot of interests. They specifically shared an interest in video games. They played and competed heavily, but also playfully. Michael loved helping people. He was also very laid back and reserved. This made many people refer to him as a “Gentle Giant”.

Being at home with his family was where he felt the happiest. He was a “Homebody”. Michael was also a very devout Marvel fan; the comics and the movies as well. Michael was an amazing cook. His ‘soulful’ BBQ rendered him “The Grill Master” per his family. Michael and his mother shared a very extraordinary relationship and they were the best of friends. He would always say, “Mother knows best” amongst his very many catch phrases. He loves his mother dearly and anytime he could visit her or go for lunch with her, he would.

Michael and Dee were an unbelievably funny duo; that’s one of the reasons they got along so well. Their relationship was what many people say, “a match made in heaven” and they loved each other in a way words couldn’t even describe.

Another thing that Michael loved was ice cream and cake. It’s all he ever wanted for his birthdays.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward “Eddie” Daniels and Mary Williams; and his dear uncle, Allen “JR” Daniels.

Michael, eat all the cake and ice cream you desire, but save some for when we all get together again. We love you and know that you are absolutely and most sorely missed.

Your loving family,

Dee, Mom, Kassandra and Auntie Mae
