Michael William Devaney, 79, of Trenton passed away in his sleep on August 30, 2021. He was born June 20, 1942 in Long Island, NY. He married the love of his life, Priscilla Devaney on November 9, 1968, in Newport, Ky. They met while he was a music engraver for World Library Publications, and she was the secretary to the President of the company.
Years later he became an independent insurance agent for State Farm and continued with them for 42 years. He loved his career with State Farm, and adored his growing family, but had many other interests and hobbies alongside them. Michael played upright bass with several different local orchestras, many times playing next to his wife. In addition he was a tuba, trombone, and electric bass player in a variety of events over the years. But the one passion that ruled over them all was his devotion to the Lord, whom he put first in all things.
Over time he became known in the Christian community for his love and knowledge of the Hebraic roots of Christianity. His fondness for Israel was clear to all who knew him and to his delight he traveled to visit his favorite place in the world, the Wailing Wall, five times with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Devaney, his son-in-law and daughter, Matt and Claudine Disher, his grandchildren, Michael Disher, Maggie Disher, Molly Santos, Steve Santos(grandson-in-law), Maria Disher, Matthew Disher, and his great- grandchildren; Joseph Disher, Kaleb Santos, Austin Santos, and Gabriel Santos.
