Nikia Lashawn Sanders

Nikia Lashawn Sanders was born April 5, 1975 in Cincinnati, Ohio to James Anderson and Rosie Sanders.

Nikia is a graduate of Winton Woods High School and The University of Cincinnati where she received a Bachelors Degree of Arts and Science.  Throughout her career at Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing, Cincinnati Public Schools and Citi Bank she was a dedicated and hard worker.

Nikia’s favorite pastime was dancing, and she could really dance.  She loved music especially gospel music.  It have her joy.  She listened to Rickey Smiley every morning.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and was baptized at a young age.  Nikia was a women of Great Compassion for others, often putting others before herself.  She expressed “Unconditional Love” to her children and others.  She loved everyone.

Nikia, Loved her children more than anything outside of God and would often talk with them about her expectations of them showing respect and godly love to all. Her desire was to raise godly young men. She surrounded them with family and friends that will speak greatness into their lives.

Nikia was called home to rest on November 2, 2021, at University Hospital. She was predeceased by Rosie Sanders (mother).

Williams Jr..; brothers: Michael Sanders, Morris (Moe) Sanders; grandmother: Wilhelmina Anderson; aunt: Cora Colvin (Aunt Su), aunts: Barbara Anderson-Dudley (Gus), Jeannie Slaughter (Gary) Lorraine Anderson, Pamela Summerlin, (Vincent), Donna Anderson; uncles, Anthony Anderson, Donald Anderson (Kathy), nieces, nephews, cousins and a community of good friends.
