Pauline Johnson

Ms. Pauline Johnson was born May 11, 1956 to Mendora Pickles and Neal Johnson, Sr. at Cincinnati General Hospital. Through this union, Ms. Pauline was the baby of the family, the fifth child to be born. Ms. Pauline went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2026.

Ms. Pauline was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She grew up downtown and she was a product of Cincinnati Public Schools.

Ms. Pauline was a sweet and gentle woman with a heart of gold. She extended kindness to everyone she had met. She did not waste words and when she speaks, people should listen. Ms. Pauline was a wonderful cook. She was known for her expertise in the kitchen as well as on the grill. When the family knew Ms. Pauline had cooked, the family’s response was that of great joy and full stomachs.

Her life partner, Richard Robinson, was blessed to be together for over 45 years. Their many years together created loving and lasting lifetime memories.

Ms. Pauline was an excellent employee of the Cincinnati Public Schools. For many years, until her retirement, she was a custodian at the Hughes STEM High School where she was known and lovingly and affectionately called “Ms. Pauline”.

Ms. Pauline will truly be missed. She loved her family, her friends, her Hughes Big Red family and those who were touched by her life. Her life was a living example of Proverbs 31:20 – “She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Neal Johnson, Jr., Edna Carter and David Johnson; and her son, Markeith Johnson, Sr.

She leaves behind: her life partner, Richard Robinson; her sister, Betty Haskins (Donald); her four children, Clarence Johnson (Kisha), Peter Harris (Sheronda), Reico Johnson, Sr. and Nancy Johnson; 16 grandchildren, Brittney, LaMar, Allen (Nicole), Matthew, Shanice, Cierra, DeVon, Mariaya, Landon, Markeith Jr., Aaron, Reico III, Jaden, Nickai, Noel and Ava; 23 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of honorary children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Rest from your labors, Ms. Pauline. We will remember all the life lessons that you had instilled in all of us. Job well done. We will see you in the morning!
