Mrs. Pecolia Kelley Huffman was born on January 27, 1923 in Harpersville, Alabama to the union of the late Mr. Charles Kelley and the late Mrs. Emma L. Kelley.
At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Harpersville, Alabama. When she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, she joined Community Baptist Church under the late Rev. Willie Hampton where she served faithfully. She then joined Consolation Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Craig Edwards where she served as an Usher. Under Pastor Eugene Ellington, she became a Mother of the Church and a Prayer Warrior.
She departed this life on May 17, 2020 at Mt. Healthy Christian Village.
Pecolia was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Kelley, Charlie Kelley, Roosevelt Kelley; sisters, Orlean Kelley, Alma McKinney and Mary Elizabeth Bush.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Adelle (John) Colvard and Alice (Leonard) Ballard; son, Anthony (Dorothy) Cook; four grandchildren, Reggie Davis, Deion (Anisa) Ballard, Dwayne (Julie) Ballard and Demarco
Cook; seven great-grandchildren, Deaja Ballard, Nehemiah Ballard, Alexandria Wilson, Adrian Crawford, Justice Ballard, Addison Haig and Aiden Ballard; four great-grandchildren, Taemar, Taemara, Harmony and Skylan Lynn; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
