Regina L. Mullins Obituary

We’re gathered here today to celebrate the life of Regina, to ensure that her memory and legacy lives on. Regina Lee Mullins was born on December 15, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the union of Richard Bohannon, Sr. and Patricia Ann Lofton, to whom she was the sixth of nine children.

Regina was joined in marriage on September 6, 1979 in Minot, North Dakota, to Anton Mullins, Sr. and to this union, three children were born.

Regina was formally educated by the Cincinnati Public School System of which she graduated from Aiken High School in 1978, along with a child care vocational certificate. Working multiple jobs, Regina started working as a home day care provider. She worked as a Patient Care Assistant at Christ Hospital and then as a Patient Care Assistant at Hanfield Group Home. She concluded her career as a Teacher Assistant at the Hamilton County Special Center for Learning.

Regina enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, baking, being a mother and loved being a grandmother. She had heavy involvement with Refreshing Springs Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with friends, crushing on cups of ice from Frisch’s, as well as eating candy and

other sweets. Regina definitely had a sense of humor. She liked to have conversations and share wisdom she acquired over the years, as well as providing thoughtful acts of service. She was a very hard working woman, sometimes working three jobs at once and was still able to take care of her children and be an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. As she liked to say, “Cooking is my ministry.” Those who were blessed to be around her have all enjoyed the amazing food she prepared whether it was asked of her or it was on her heart. She was a light of love to everyone she crossed paths with and loved her family with everything in her heart and soul.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Bohannon, Sr. and Patricia Ann Lofton; as well as her siblings, Richard Bohannon, Jr., Jeremy Bohannon, Linda Bohannon, Patricia Ann Jones-Williams and Curtis Hill, Jr.; and her late husbands, Anton Mullins, Sr. and James Green.

Her memory will be cherished by: her children, Kevin (Stephanie) Mullins, Angela (Rob) Mullins, Anton Mullins, Jr. and Kiara Lott; her grandchildren, Kevin Mullins, Jr., Nyree Bonner, Morgan Mullins, Gionni Mullins, Robert Ellis, Alessia Samuels, Karrington Rainey, Kadence Byrd and Matthew Byrd, Jr.; her siblings, Deborah Thompson, Keith Bohannon and Cecilia Rainey; and a host of very close cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
