Rev. Jeremy B. Hyman

Rev. Jeremy B. Hyman, beloved husband, father, son, brother, minister, coach, and friend, will be remembered for his faith, kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Born June 6, 1979, in Middletown, Ohio, Jeremy departed peacefully at home on June 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jeremy was the son of Cheryl Hart and the late Willie Hyman. He was also lovingly raised and guided by his stepfather, Nelson Hart, whose steadfast presence, support, and love helped shape Jeremy into the man he became. Jeremy was blessed to grow up alongside his two sisters and one brother, who remained an important part of his life and family.

Jeremy met the love of his life, Amber, while they were in high school nearly 29 years ago. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, family, and perseverance. Their marriage was blessed with three children—Zayion, Tyree, and Keylin—who were the pride and joy of his life. Jeremy's greatest accomplishments were found in the love he shared with his family and the example he set for his children every day.

A devoted mentor to many, Jeremy served as a soccer coach and positively impacted countless young athletes through encouragement, discipline, and compassion. He began his coaching journey as a Middletown SAY Soccer coach and ODP volunteer. After earning his US Soccer "D" Coaching License, he advanced to coaching at the competitive level. In 2016, he became the Middletown High School Women's Head Soccer Coach for eight(8) years. Jeremy also led coaching clinics for Middletown Youth Soccer, organized youth training camps, and served as Director of Coaching for Middletown Eclipse Soccer Club. His influence extended far beyond the field, as he inspired young people to believe in themselves, work hard, and pursue excellence.

Jeremy's commitment to serving others was deeply rooted in his faith. He answered God's call to ministry in 2009 and faithfully served for many years before becoming an ordained minister in 2026. As a dedicated member of New Era Baptist Church, Jeremy was actively involved in numerous aspects of church life and ministry. He had a special passion for guiding and mentoring young people and was entrusted with leading the church's youth department. Through teaching, counseling, encouragement, and example, he helped nurture the faith of countless youth and young adults. His presence at New Era Baptist Church was marked by humility, service, and a genuine desire to help others grow closer to God. Whether preaching, teaching, mentoring, or simply offering a listening ear, Jeremy's ministry touched many lives and reflected the love of Christ.

Jeremy was also dedicated to his professional career and education. He graduated from Sinclair Community College with a degree in Engineering and worked faithfully for Procter & Gamble, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, leadership, and character, particularly within the Baby Care Department.

Those who knew Jeremy will remember his strength, wisdom, sense of humor, and deep love for family and community. He possessed a rare ability to make people feel valued, encouraged, and supported. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared so freely.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hyman and grandmother Elizabeth Ann (Shannon) Hyman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Amber; his children, Zayion, Tyree, and Keylin; his parents, Cheryl and Nelson Hart; his grandmother Rosa Lean Lindsey; his uncle Rahsaan (Konya) Lindsey; his siblings, Kyle Hart, Tisha Hyman (Taurean LaCott), and Aliya Hart; his parents-in-law, Penny Moore and Milton Moore; his siblings-in-law, Jasmine Moore, Kyler (Grace) Moore, Sabrina (Abe) Ochoa; his nieces, Kayla Hart, Amelia Moore, Ellie Ochoa; his nephews, TJ LaCott, Mark Hoard, D’Andre Hoard, Miles Moore, and Lincoln Ochoa; along with a host of aunts and uncles, extended family members, church family, friends, former players, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.
