Rev. Morris L. Duskin Obituary

Rev. Morris Lee Duskin departed his earthly life and gained his heavenly wings on Friday, November 8, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Morris Lee Duskin was born on May 31, 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Gail Ann Duskin and Reginald Hughes. Morris is the second born of four siblings.

Morris attended and graduated from Hughes High School in 1990. Later, he attended Cincinnati Bible College where he earned an Associate Degree in Theology. He also attended Temple Baptist College and Seminary and God’s Bible College. Additionally, Morris earned his CompTIA A+ Certification in Information Technology. He was employed at TechSoft Systems as an IT technician.

As teenagers, Morris met his beloved wife, Kim (Johnson) Duskin through friends at Golden Skates Roller Rink. They were joined in holy matrimony on June 10, 2000. Together, they welcomed their daughters, Kimora, followed by Aaliyah.

Morris was an expert at his craft in technology. His hobbies included building and fixing computers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to Gospel, Jazz and R&B music. Hezikiah Walker, Ricky Dillard, KEM, Michael Jackson and Maroon 5 were some of his favorite artists. He touched many lives by spreading the “Good News” of Jesus to everyone he met. He was passionate about youth ministry and outreach. His friends describe him as humorous, very patient and a very good listener.

His girls were his pride and joy. He was very protective of his wife and daughters. Morris was active in his daughters’ school where he attended conferences, sporting events and after school extracurricular activities. He taught his daughters how to cook, keyboarding and how to mow the grass. Because of this, Morris was teased about breaking child labor laws. He emulated for his daughters how they should be treated by others and encouraged them to “show

proper respect to everyone: love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, Honor the King” 1 Peter 2:17.

His memory will be cherished by: his loving and devoted wife, Kimberly Duskin; his daughters, Kimora and Aaliyah Duskin; father, Reginald Hughes; siblings, Christopher Duskin, Angela Duskin and Regina Hughes; mother-in-law, Christine McKee (Curtis); aunts, Sheryl Thomas, Darlene Duskin and Dareen Duskin; uncle, Dennis Duskin; brother- in-Christ, Kevin (Juanita) Welch; honorary godson, Kaleb Welch; spiritual mentor, Rev. Julian Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Morris was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Ann Hughes; his grandmother, Gabriella Duskin; his great-grand-mother, Margaret Scruggs; and aunt, Bernadine Walker.
