Richard “Rick” Rasch, age 57, born May 3, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio passed away November 2, 2024. It is fitting that he entered heaven on All Souls Day, as his was the purist of souls.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Terry, who has surely been eagerly anticipating their reunion. His spirit and perseverance will live on in the lives of his father, Chuck, and siblings Cindy (Tom) Mathews, Lori (Randy) Thesken, Ellen (Sam) Flannery, Marcia (Bob) Rasch Potts, his nieces and nephews, Lauren (Taylor), Max, Alex (Samiha), Christa, Abby, Shayna, Trey and Trevor, great-nieces and nephew Harper, Sutton and Walton as well as many caregivers and friends.
Rick was the ultimate teacher – every person he encountered during his life was better for it and learned something valuable – how to endure hardships with courage and grit, to love with all your heart, to enjoy the little things in life, like music or laughter or a squeaky toy. Rick was quick to laugh and he loved his family fiercely – both his biological family and the caregivers and housemates who became family to him. Rick’s family could not be more grateful to the many caregivers who were part of Rick’s life over the years – they enriched his life immensely and treated him like their own.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 4895 Hendrickson Rd (H1) Middletown, OH 45044 from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to @RickRaschMemorial via Venmo which will provide amenities to his ResCare family at H1 where he lived for many years.
