Robert Thomas, Sr. was born to the late (Leroy) Roy Thomas and Lula Mae (Patterson) Thomas, in Anderson, South Carolina on September 3, 1949.
Robert graduated from Lincoln Heights High School in 1969. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1970. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Beverly (McCowen) Thomas on April 14, 1971. To this union, two children were born: Robert Thomas, Jr. and Tamara (Thomas).
Robert worked for Stearns and Foster as well as Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services, which he retired from in 2012. Robert enjoyed a multitude of hobbies, including working on cars, being a handyman, boxing, visiting casinos, listening to the Blues and Gospel music, playing games on his phone and drag racing. He really enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Roy Thomas, Sr.; mother, Lyla Mae Thomas; wife, Beverly Thomas; and brother, Roy Thomas, Jr.
He leaves to cherish in memory: his children, Robert Thomas, Jr. (Marilyn) and Tamara Cortes (Edwin), both of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Doris Carr, Mary A. (Reginald) Wagner and Evelyn Thomas; two brothers, Charles (Charlotte) Thomas, Sr. and Larry (Karen) Thomas, Sr.; five grandchildren, Brittany, Rayshia, Zoraeda, Zharia and Robert II; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Londyn, Jordyn, Zayden, Malaya, Zary and Moses, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; father-in-law, Earnest McCowen, Sr.; brother-in-law, Earnest McCowen, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; very special companion, Vivian Meadows; and a host of other relatives and friends.
