Mr. Ronald Eugene Wright was born October 28, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Louis Wright Jr. and Doris (Mitchell) Wright. Ron was the oldest of eight children. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Ronnie confessed Christ at the age of 12, and was baptized on August 19, 1962, at First Baptist Church of Mt Auburn under the leadership of Rev. Bennett W. Smith. He was a member of the Rose Buds Choir and an Intermediate Sunday School Teacher, under Mrs. Josephine Hill.
Ron was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System: Taft Elementary, Kindergarten-6th grade. Cutter Junior High 7th through 9th and graduated from Hughes High School in June 1968. He also attended The Ohio College of Applied Science.
In 1969, Ron enlisted in the Army. He went to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for Basic Training and was schooled to become a Military Police. He fulfilled his armed services duties, in Germany as a MP.
In 1970 Ron married Virginia Bishop, and to this union two sons were born. Ronald E. Wright, Jr and Rodni M. Wright.
Ronnie had a ‘paper route’ in his youth, he also worked on The Ohio Riverboats. Ron worked at the Ice Cream Fountain at Pogue’s Department Store, and he would work with his Dad at Edgecliff College. After returning home from Germany, Ron returned to Cincinnati Bell and retired after 35+ years.
Later in life Ron met and married Sharon Isaacs in 1996.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stanley T. Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sharon Wright, his sons, Ronald E. Wright Jr (Tonya) and Rodni M. Wright of Cincinnati, OH. Kristen and Isaiah Gales and Philip Sweet of Cincinnati, OH. Four sisters Linda J. Wright, Vicki L. Armstrong, Karen F. Robinson (Wallace), and DeYonda Ann Culbreth, all of Cincinnati, OH. Three brothers Louis Wright, III (Louanna) of Dublin, OH. Keith E. Wright (Angela) of Simpsonville, SC., and Timothy A. Wright (Michelle) of Cincinnati, Ohio. His grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
