Sandra Pearl Balleau, affectionately known as Pearl, was born on March 2nd, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jessie Mae Taylor Balleau and Willie Lewis Brown. She departed this earthly life for eternal rest on November 10th, 2021.
Pearl accepted Christ at a young age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Lockland, Ohio where she sang in the choir.
Pearl attended Lockland Wayne High School. She was a dedicated employee at Windjammer Restaurant and Avon. She was a very loving and outgoing person. She raised several generations of children in her family and was viewed as a mother figure by many. She was extremely family oriented and hosted many family gatherings. She welcomed everyone into her home “as long as you didn’t drop anything on her rug.”
Her words of wisdom were valued by many. She encouraged academic achievement and independence.
She enjoyed playing volleyball in an adult volleyball league. She loved to cook, play bingo, decorate her house, dance, shop, and always kept a close watch on the neighborhood by peeping out her window.
Pearl was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Mae; her brothers, Dennis, Donald, Dwight, and Douglas Balleau; her nieces, Nikeya and Cynthia Ann and great-nephew, Tremell Jr.
Pearl leaves to cherish her memories to her loving sons, Anthony “Tony Baby” and Andre, daughter, Tara Lynn (Leon Jr.) ; sisters, Geneva, Jocelyn “Joy”, Laverne “Verne”, and Tawnia ; grandchildren, Andre, Aerial, Tiera, Andrea, Leonna, Ricky, Tyonna, Drevon, J’Nyah, Tatiana, Desirae, Trey, and Dalylah and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Pearl, you have earned your wings, now it is your time to rest. Take a bow! You have done your best.
