Stella Elaine Washington

Stella Elaine Washington was born on May 22, 1944, to the union of Harry and Mamie Washington in Cincinnati, Ohio. God peacefully called Stella to her eternal rest on September 6, 2026, at 12:05 a.m. at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Stella grew up in Madisonville, Ohio, where she attended St. Anthony Elementary School and briefly St. Mary High School before continuing on to Withrow High School. It was there she graduated in 1963 and met the love of her life, Henry Lee Washington. Stella and Henry were united in marriage on July 10, 1965.

Stella was a dedicated employee of Recto Molded Products, serving faithfully as an office administrator for 22 years. She loved traveling with her family, cooking, shopping, reading, swimming, and solving all kinds of puzzles. She was a competitive card player and a devoted fan of basketball, football, and tennis. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she never missed her soap operas.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mamie Washington; siblings, Patricia Anderson, Charles Lee, Virginia Rowles, Harry Lee, Barbara Shaw, Melissa Jones and Mamie Greggs; honorary daughter, Robin Lea Cameron; and grandson, Brandon Keith Washington.

Stella leaves to cherish her memory: beloved and devoted husband of 61 years, Henry Lee Washington; three sons, Anthony Darnell (VanEssa), Keith Lane (Shaunda) and Michael Todd Washington; 11 grandchildren, Keilan D. Mayberry, Anthony D. Jr., Alexis D., Chanel E., MaKale A., Nikolas P., Michael J., Jonah C. Washington, Zhané Broomfield, Jordan M. and Julian M. Avery; sister, Cynthia H. Evans and brother, William P. Washington; three brothers-in-law, Lamar Shaw, Barry Greggs and Leroy Wilson (Stephanie); three sisters-in-law, Enid Lee, Henrietta Lee and Thelma Washington; cherished family in Vaiden, Mississippi; lifelong friends, Linda Black and James and Alma Stallworth; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
