THOMASINE B. BAYLESS was born October 19, 1941, to Dennis and Irene Palmer in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the last of 4 children, all have preceded her in death.
Thomasine graduated from Taft High School #2 academically in the entire class. She played the viola in her school orchestra and was selected to participate in the Greater Cincinnati All City Orchestra, only the best in the city were selected to perform together.
After receiving an Associate degree in Business Administration at the University of Cincinnati she embarked upon an incredible 55-year career at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, EPA. as a Technical Information Manager.
Thomasine was a proud mother of Anthony Bayless and daughter-in-law (Princess Bayless, fondly known as her 1 an only), grandmother of 1, Antrenee Stys and great-grandmother of 3.
Thomasine’s church roots began in her youth as a member of St. Barnabas Episcopalian Presbyterian Church and St. James AME Zion. While there she joined the Greater Cincinnati Choral Union along with her son Anthony.
Thomasine had a gift and love of teaching, she served as the Director of Religious Education, and her group dominated all the religious studies at the national conventions.
Inspired from the convention she went on her 1st fast Monday- Friday and on that Friday, she went to service where she was slain and filled with the Holy Spirit!
She later joined Mt Olive Holy Temple and from there she was led to New Mission of Truth, currently Harac Parech Ministries for the World, where she was called into Ministry in 1982, she wore many hats.
She served as Pastor’s Aide, Superintendent of Sunday School, Adult Sunday School and Bible Class teacher and took care of church finances. She was later ordained as an Elder and her last Ordination was Pastor of Congregational Care, which included Jail Ministry, Prayer Ministry, Silver eagles for the Elderly and Ushers and Greeters, until the Lord sent gifted persons to take over. She labored here for 26 years, to God be the Glory!
Thomasine felt led of the Lord to go help Pastor Christina Denmark build at Steppingstones Ministries where she served until her departure. Pastor Bayless will always be remembered in the house for these words of encouragement: NO MATTER WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, NO MATTER WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE, NO MATTER WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, IT IS WELL!!! Thomasine leaves to celebrate her life: her loving and dedicated son, Anthony W. Bayless (Princess); granddaughter, Antrenee Bayless Stys (Brandon); 3 great-grands, Oliver, Owen and Olivia; and a host of family and friends.
