Toriano Dion Foster Obituary

With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Toriano Dion Foster, affectionately known as Tory, who was born Middletown Ohio on March 21, 1975 to Columbus Lonnie Foster (Sheila) mother Annette Smith (Joe) Toriano departed this life on August 18, 2026 at the age of 51.

He is survived by his children Jasmin Hughley, Laquin Benty, Toriano Foster, Torianna Foster, Nevaeh Foster, and Leana King. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Toriano is survived by his siblings Tonia Foster Turner (Robert), Kimona Battle (Brandi), Kiwana Battle, Esquilliteya Ward (Anissa), and Dennis Gates.

Toriano was preceded in death by his two sisters Tracy Hoskins and Rashima White.

Toriano graduated Middletown High School and continued his education at Central State University. Toriano worker for ADVICS manufacturing for 12 years. He also dedicated many years doing tree work.

Toriano was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and sports played a key role in Tory’s life. He took pride in playing football for the Middletown Middies(#13) as defensive cornerback. He started coaching youth sports in early 2000’s. He was passionate about winning but at the same time developing every player to their full potential. In his words he came out of retirement to coach again in 2025, he was loved dearly by his team and fellow coaches, Middletown ‘lil’ Middies. He will forever be Coach Lazer.

Tory’s grandson Hendrix De La Sierra was the apple of his eye. They had a special untouchable bond. Hendrix put a smile on his face and lit up his entire world, they inspired one another.

Toriano’s home church was Faith United. When he needed love and comfort this is where you would find him with his father Lonnie, surrounded by their loving church community.

Toriano brought joy and laughter into many lives. He loved to talk, he could talk for hours. Chances are if he called you by a nickname other than your own, he loved you. Tory was loved dearly by his family, friends, his fellow coaches, and so many more, he will be missed immensely.
