Tyrone "Ty" Blathers

Tyrone “Ty” Blathers was born on August 16, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Theodore and Eloise (Wright) Blathers. He was the eldest of three sons and was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Blathers.

Tyrone was a quiet thinker with a sharp wit and a warm heart. His humor often caught you off guard and his kindness left a lasting impression. He had a gift for encouraging young people, especially through sports and was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.

He attended Madisonville Grade School and graduated from Purcell High School. Tyrone worked at SanMar Corporation in West Chester, Ohio, where he was known for his dedication and reliability.

A talented musician, Tyrone found joy in playing the trumpet and bass guitar. His deep faith matched his love for music. He joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church at a young age and quickly became an active and devoted member. Tyrone served faithfully as an usher and trustee, ensuring the church was prepared for morning services. He attended Sunday School regularly and had a remarkable knowledge of the Bible, able to quote scripture from Genesis to Revelation.

Tyrone departed this life on Thursday, October 2, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Eloise Blathers; his brothers, Terrence Lee Blathers and David Wayne Blathers; his aunt, Elnora Wright; uncles, Nolen (Mary) Wright, Norman Wright and Jim (Janet) Blathers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
