Vanessa D. Miller

Vanessa Desembly-Miller was born on March 4, 1958 to the late Mary Desembly and George Samuels. She returned home on November 29, 2024 at the age of 66.

Vanessa was raised in Madisonville and Silverton. Vanessa attended Woodward High School, where she graduated in 1976. She worked in a few fields before she landed in nursing and she graduated from Cincinnati Public School of Practical Nursing. Vanessa worked as an LPN for a few years before taking a leave due to medical reasons.

Vanessa loved to cook and bake, and was known for her orange cake, blackberry jam cake and her Christmas cookies. Vanessa always showed love, compassion and support to her family and friends.

Vanessa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, grandmother and cousin.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her stepson, Jamaal Miller; her sister, Garnet Desembly; her grandmother, Elizabeth Samuels; and her brother, Michael Desembly.

Vanessa is survived by: her husband, Jeffery Miller; her children, David Desembly and Christopher Desembly (Maria); her stepchild-ren, Keisha Allen (Bennie), Jason Miller (Alicia), Jameeka Miller and Jermaine Miller; her sister, Valerie Shipman (John) and her niece (also known as her sister), Michelle Thomas (Darryl); as well as numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Vanessa will never be forgotten by her loved ones and will forever be missed.
