Vera M. "Mitzi" Bedgood

Vera Michele Bedgood (Mitzi) was born on August 23, 1955 to Vivian and the late Kendall Jett, Sr. in Cincinnati, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023 with her family by her side.

Vera graduated from Princeton High School in 1973, where she then went on to work at Fusite and General Elec-tric. She then spent her time working in Hospitality for over 40 years. She was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lockland, Ohio by Rev. Otis Moss, Sr. in 1974. On March 30, 1974, she married the love of her life, Dexter Bedgood, Sr. This union brought on three children: Ian Bedgood, Sr., Dexter Bedgood, Jr. and Kendra Bedgood.

Vera was the life of the party. She brightened every room she walked in. She was devoted to her family and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures that included hosting parties, cooking, spending time with loved ones, shopping and music. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter and grandmother who will be truly missed.

Vera was preceded in death by her father, Kendall Lamonte Jett, Sr.; her sister, Bridgette Jett; and brothers, Frank Monterio and Kevin Griffith.

She is survived by her husband, Dexter Bedgood, Sr. and mother, Vivian Jett. She leaves precious memories to her three children, Ian Bedgood, Sr. (Nakia), Dexter Bedgood, Jr. and Kendra Bedgood (Desi); siblings, Cheryl Jett-White (Blake), Kendall Lamonte Jett, Jr. (Sharon), Ellery Jett, Jewell La Daun Jett, Kelly Harvin (Everett), Deneka Jett, Vincent Bennett (Angela) and Claudia Tucker (Frederick); her dear grandchildren, Dexter Bedgood III, Kenyah Drake-ford (Deondre), Ian Bedgood, Jr., Jada Bedgood, Jasmine Bedgood and Devin Bedgood; and her loving dog, Cash.
