Virginia Lynne Douglas was born to Thomas and Laverne Douglas on April 10, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was raised in Avondale and attended Rockdale Elementary. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church.
She graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1979 and attended Wilberforce University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1983. After completing college, Ginny went on to be a Sr. Business Analyst and was employed for 22 years at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She also worked as a Business Analyst for Fifth Third Bank and Vantiv until her retirement.
Ginny loved sports and played on softball teams throughout her twenties and thirties.
She was married to Tony Davis who preceded her in death. She has three siblings, Vernon Douglas, who also preceded her in death, Rochelle Douglas Bland (Russell) and Nancy White (John). Ginny had a fondness for children and was their biggest cheerleader. She had a host of cousins, along with her loving nieces and nephews, Jasmine Douglas, Jamayal Douglas, Candace Anderson, Christopher White and Sean White. She was especially close to her niece, Jasmine and her sister, Rochelle. She was a loyal friend and family member. Her fun and charismatic spirit will be missed by many.
