Wardell Evans Obituary

Wardell “Boo-Boo” Evans was born on June 1, 1983, to Wardell Ward and Pamela Evans-Ward in Cincinnati, Ohio. He peacefully departed his earthly life on February 19, 2026.

Wardell was educated in the Cincinnati Public School District, where he attended Woodward High School. A man of many talents, Wardell was active as a child playing Little League football for the Avondale Warriors and baseball for the Avondale Indians.

Wardell was well-known in many neighborhoods, including Avondale, Walnut Hills, and Madisonville, but he was best known as “Mr. Avondale”. Wardell was hard worker and a devoted parent. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever he was needed. He was especially dedicated to supporting his parents in every way possible.

Wardell spent his adult life as a loving and caring father to all thirteen of his children. He came from a large family on both sides and was very much loved by all.

Wardell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rush and Rosetta Evans, Wardell Ward, Sr., and Felix Thomas: his brother, Maurice Evans; his nephew, Antwon Ward: and his bonus parents, Ronnie Wells and Ethel English.

Wardell leaves to cherish his memory and honor his legacy: his mother and father: Wardell and Pamela Evans-Ward; his loving grandmother: Mary L. Ward-Thomas, a special devoted aunt and uncle, Willie and Dornessa Ward-Shipp: fourteen brothers and sisters: Mike Ward, TyJuan Childress of Texas, Antwon Smith (Sherri), Tyrone Evans (Alyshia) of Mason City, Iowa, Ashley Gresham (Henry), Nikki Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Nikki Steward, Donta Steward of Arizona, Troy Thompson, Sean Thompson (Granada), Mahogany Foster (Ishmaell), Obie English, Lamar Wells, and Mike Williams.

Wardell light lives on through his thirteen children: Khamauri, Chakori Evans, Key’Nyah Evans, William (Bill Bill) Evans, Eziah, Bailey Younger, Chanell, Shawna, Maurice, Demonte, Ziare, Zamon and Shamere; one grandson, Deon-tae Evans. He also leaves behind his very special friend of 11 years, Charee Bonner, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
