Wash D. Edward was born on August 20, 1940, the son of the late Mr. Willie Edwards, Sr., and Evelyn Smith Edwards. He moved to Ohio from Alabama at a young age, and later becoming a professional truck driver. He was known as Baby Brother, Coney, Honey Babe, Cadillac, Slim, Smiley, Sonny and Ed. He loved his friends, family, motor cycling, telling old stories, history, and his faithful dog named Shoestring.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Mr. Willie Edwards, Sr., and Mrs. Evelyn Smith Edwards; his stepmother, Mrs. Willie Mae Edwards; four sisters, Vada, Lula, Edna, Cleo, and stepsister, Louise; three brothers, Willie Jr.; George, and stepbrother, Leonard; Wife, Sharon Lundy; and son, Timothy.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Five daughters, Cheryl Cottrell, Montgomery, Alabama; Teresa Hemingway, Jeannette Sims, Tonya Hill, and Tosha Bailey, Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Reather Cross, Cincinnati, Ohio, one step-sister, Rose, a sister in-law, Emma Edwards (George), Cincinnati, Ohio. He had several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and loving relatives.
