William Stone, Sr.

William (Billy) Herndon Stone, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2021 at Carlisle Nursing Home.

Billy, as he was affectionately known, was born on June 1, 1936, in Middletown, OH and was the third of three sons born to Neal Cornelius Stone and Anna B. (Herndon) Stone.

Billy was educated in the Middletown School System. He worked for several years at The Middletown Hospital, and was a long time employee of Harding Jones Paper Company before his retirement.

Billy was well liked by all who knew him. He had an infectious smile and a joyful personality. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Anna Stone, one brother, Thomas D. Stone and two sons, Rodney and Larry Stone.

Billy leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, William Jr. (Jackie) of Atlanta, GA and Kenneth Stone of Middletown; four daughters, Deborah Ann (Carl) Foster of Middletown, Marilyn Jackson of Detroit, MI, Carolyn Jackson Allen and Renee Norris of Newport News, VA; his brother, Norvell (Pat) Stone of Middletown; niece, Doris Stone Tate; nephew, Bradley Stone of Youngstown, OH; special niece, Janice Sweatt of Middletown; 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
