Willie Earl (BoBo) Nelson was born in Choctaw, Ala- bama on November 30, 1971 to the late Willie James Mae and Claudia Mae Nelson. Willie was the second oldest of six children. He was also the twin brother of James (Little Boy). He had one sister who preceded him in death, Victoria Nelson, great-grandmother, Desmer Cherry and grandmothers, Charlie Mae Mitchell and Julie Mae.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his nine children, Tyrell Hines, Malik Carter, Trent and Kyren Swift, Seveon, Amarion, Jaseon, Kazeon and Ablessin Nelson; 10 grand- children, Mason and Harmony Hines, Jamal Cole, Malik Carter, Jr., Ma’Layaa, Malchi, Makai Carter, Ariel, Taylor, Trent Swift, Jr., Kalani and Kyren Swift, Jr.; and three godchildren, Khamani White, Treonna Williams and Khamari Lockett, Jr.
Willie (BoBo) was the Building Operator for Creative Cave Learning Center and Lifetime Property’s under Pierre Brown’s leadership. He was also a chef at Golden Corral in Louisiana.
He was a faithful member at New Day Missionary Baptist Church in Hammond, Louisiana, Dr. Albert Lee Carter, Sr., Pastor. In his spare time, Willie (BoBo) loved to cook and cut hair, and he was always there if you needed him.
Willie leaves behind: stepfather, Brooker T. Gray; bro- thers, Corey, twin brother James, Willie James Ormond, Jr. and Vincent Gray; sisters, Kenya and Janice Nelson; grandfathers, Willie Nelson and John Wesley Mitchell; grandmother, Idella Nelson; great aunts, Sadie Miller,
Alice E. Cherry and Debbie Thomas; uncles, Floyd MacArthur and Willie George Nelson; aunts, Essie B. Howard, Trina Smith, Lynn, Daphne Nelson and Amanda (Mike) Pettis; 12 nieces, 21 nephews, seven great nieces and seven great nephews; and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
