Willie Pearl Waklatsi, better known as "Goodie" was born in Jackson, Georgia on November 28, 1939 to Dorthy and Thomas Williams.
At an early age, she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended Woodward High School. After high school, mom worked for Kathman's and The Christ Hospital where she later retired. During this time, she met her beloved husband, John E. Waklatsi, Sr., until his untimely death in 2010.

Mom was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, James, Dorthy, Essie and Shirley.
Mom leaves to cherish her precious memories: a daughter, Elaine Amison; sisters and brother, Emma Williams, Mary (June) and Thomas (Zaddie); six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
